Charlecote Park is a National Trust property situated not far from Shakespeare's town of Stratford upon Avon. Whilst it is not situated close to any town, road access is easy and there is a large car park. It is a bit of a walk from the car park to the house but it is easy and there are wonderful views, especially if the deer are close, as they were when we visited.
The house contains many interesting displays of how life was when the family lived there. The furniture displays, the paintings and other artefacts are very interesting and the property is well worth a visit.
We are not members of the National Trust so we had to pay full price for our visit. Every time we visit one of their properties we discuss membership, but haven't quite come to the point of joining as we feel that we don't visit enough properties to warrant it.
